Common questions
The questions people ask before they get in touch.
Answered plainly, including the ones where the honest answer is a limit rather than a capability.
The work
What Trivarone does, and how
What does an SEO and AI SEO discoverability check involve?
Two searches are run: one for the practice name, and one for the service without the name attached.
Google alone is checked four ways, because it answers the same question differently in ordinary results, in Google Maps, in an AI Overview above the results, and in AI Mode. These are separate systems with separate retrieval, so a practice can appear in one and be missing from the others.
Beyond Google, the check covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini is not the same thing as Google AI Mode — AI Mode sits inside Google Search and draws on Google's index, while Gemini is a separate app, also used across Android and Google Workspace, and it can return a different answer to the same question.
Claude and Grok are not currently included. Both are capable systems, but very few people use them to find a local practitioner, and listing systems that are not genuinely checked would overstate the work. If that changes, they will be added.
The result shows whether the business appears when somebody searches for what it does, rather than only when they already know who it is. The initial check is free and takes the form of a short written summary.
Do I have to hand over my website and account logins?
Only where you choose to. Every account stays in your name. Access to a Google Business Profile, a Bing Places listing or a website can be granted as a manager rather than an owner, and removed at any time.
Where you would rather not grant access at all, the changes are written out precisely enough for you or your web person to make them. There is no Trivarone platform to log into, no dashboard to check and no subscription to maintain.
Can Trivarone help if I do not have a website, or if my existing one needs work?
Yes. Trivarone builds simple websites for small practices and businesses, and improves existing ones.
Where a website needs frequent updating by the owner, or requires online bookings or payments, Trivarone will recommend a platform built for that rather than a custom build, and set it up. The recommendation depends on how often the content changes and who will be changing it.
Do you only work with businesses in Brisbane?
No. The work is done and delivered digitally, so location is not a constraint. Trivarone is based in Brisbane and works with clients across Australia. Enquiries from outside Australia are welcome and considered individually.
Do you work with doctors and dentists?
Yes. General practitioners and dentists in private practice, and specialists and sub-specialists.
On the medical side that includes orthopaedic surgeons, including those working in sports injury or joint replacement, ophthalmologists, including cornea, retina and refractive surgery, paediatricians, dermatologists, cardiologists, ENT surgeons, gastroenterologists, urologists and psychiatrists. In dentistry, orthodontists, periodontists, endodontists, prosthodontists, paediatric dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
Sub-specialty matters here, because patients and referrers search in different words. A practice can appear for one and be missing for the other.
Do you work with allied health practitioners?
Yes. Physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, podiatrists, exercise physiologists, myotherapists, remedial massage therapists, psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, dietitians, audiologists, optometrists and acupuncturists.
Local SEO usually matters most for these practices, because the majority of enquiries begin with a suburb and a condition rather than a practice name.
Do you work with NDIS providers?
Yes, both registered and unregistered.
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission defines 36 registration groups, or classes of support. They run from support coordination and specialist support coordination, plan management, therapeutic supports and community nursing, through to supported independent living, specialist disability accommodation, positive behaviour support, early childhood intervention, high intensity daily personal activities, assistive technology, home modifications, and travel and transport.
Discoverability matters most for unregistered providers, who make up the large majority of active providers. A registered provider can work with any participant, including those whose plans are agency-managed. An unregistered provider can only work with participants who self-manage or use a plan manager, which means the participant or the family has to find them and choose them directly. Being absent from search is a harder problem for an unregistered provider than for a registered one.
Providers of both kinds are searched for by participants, families and support coordinators rather than by name, so the registration groups and the service areas need to be explicit on the website and in the listings.
How long does a piece of work take?
A discoverability check is usually returned within a few days. A single article or a set of listing corrections typically takes under a week. Larger pieces such as a full report or a website build depend on how much source material exists and how quickly questions can be answered.
A timeframe is agreed before work begins. If something will be late, you are told before the deadline rather than after it.
Regulated professions
Where the line sits
Which advertising rules apply to content written for my practice?
It depends on the profession, and this is checked rather than assumed.
Sixteen professions are registered under AHPRA: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practice, Chinese medicine, chiropractic, dental practice, medical practice, medical radiation practice, midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, osteopathy, paramedicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry and psychology. For these the National Law and the AHPRA advertising guidelines apply directly: no testimonials, no claims of superiority, nothing creating an unreasonable expectation of benefit, and no offers without full terms.
Several allied health professions are not on that list and are self-regulated by their professional association instead. Speech pathology, dietetics, exercise physiology, audiology, myotherapy and remedial massage all sit outside AHPRA, with Speech Pathology Australia, Dietitians Australia and Exercise and Sports Science Australia setting codes for their own members. Specialty bodies such as the Australian Orthopaedic Association publish their own standards as well.
NDIS providers have separate obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct, which applies to registered and unregistered providers alike.
Australian Consumer Law applies to every business regardless, and the Therapeutic Goods Administration governs claims about therapeutic products and services.
Trivarone identifies which of these apply and flags restrictions in the draft. It does not determine compliance, does not certify anything as compliant, and does not provide clinical advice. You review and approve everything before it is published.
What is Bing Places for Business, and why does it matter?
Bing is Microsoft's search engine — the equivalent of Google Search, built into Windows and the Edge browser. Bing Places for Business is its version of a Google Business Profile: a free listing carrying the practice name, address, phone number, categories, service areas, hours and photographs.
It matters more than Bing's share of ordinary searches suggests, because ChatGPT's web search runs on Bing's index rather than Google's, and Microsoft Copilot runs on Bing as well. A practice can rank first on Google and be entirely absent from a ChatGPT answer, simply because nobody has ever claimed the Bing listing.
It is free, it takes about an hour, and very few practices have done it. The listing is created or claimed in your name, and the details are matched exactly to the Google Business Profile — inconsistent name, address and phone details across listings are themselves a cause of a practice being missed.
What do SEO, AI SEO, AEO, GEO and AISO each mean?
SEO, or search engine optimisation, is the long-established practice of making a website and its listings easy for a search engine to find, understand and rank. Local SEO is the part of it concerned with appearing for a service near a place, and for most practices it is the largest part of the work.
AI SEO, AEO, answer engine optimisation, GEO, generative engine optimisation, LLMO and AISO, AI search optimisation, are all in active use, and they largely describe the same question: whether AI systems find and recommend you. Some practitioners avoid the abbreviations altogether and speak of AI searchability, which describes the same property in plain words. The field has not settled on one term, and several of them carry more than one meaning.
Traditional SEO is not obsolete and has not been replaced. It is the foundation, and the AI layer is built on top of it.
Each term is set out in full, with the ambiguities named, in AI SEO terminology: what AEO, GEO, AISO and AI searchability actually mean.
Working together
Ownership, access and cost
Who owns the Google Business Profile, the website and the content?
You do, in every case. This matters more in search work than people expect.
A Google Business Profile, a domain or a website registered under an agency account can be difficult or impossible to take with you when the arrangement ends. It is a common way practices find themselves stuck with a provider they would rather leave.
Nothing is ever registered under a Trivarone account. Where a listing or a site already exists, ownership stays exactly where it is and Trivarone is added as a manager, which you can remove at any time. Where something new is created, it is created in your name from the start.
Written content belongs to the practice outright, with no branding and no attribution required.
How does Trivarone charge?
Per piece of work, quoted before anything begins, so the figure is known in advance. There are no retainers required to start and no ongoing commitment.
The first check is free. Some practices return regularly, and some have one thing corrected and never need another. Both are fine.
